Beltane: May 1, 2013

It could not be a more beautiful day here in Northern New York. Birds of all kinds are singing in the budding trees, the sun is shining, and a soft breeze stirs the air. What a wonderful way to welcome May Day, half way between the Spring Equinox and the Summer Solstice. In the ancient Irish tradition, this marked the beginning of summer and was the time when the cattle were driven out into the summer pastures. In our own life, it can represent the promise of warmer weather, depending on where we live, or a new season within, a time to seek the sun and enjoy the bounty and blessings of our lives.

I have wanted to revisit this blog for a while now. I  have been on such a learning curve for a while now, that I felt as if the things I was taking in could not be put into words. I am finally at a place where I feel myself starting to articulate my experiences again, and as I grow, I want to share my thoughts on this very fanstatical reality we all live in. Thank you to all who have read my thoughts and who find this page anew, I promise to touch base more frequently going forward.

Blessed Beltane! ♥
