TNT: The Power Within You

"Undoubtedly we become what we envisage." Claude M. Bristol

The idea that we are co-creators of our lives with an Infinite Intelligence is not a modern one. One could easily argue that it goes all the way back to Jesus Christ or before and can be found as an underlying theme in many myths, fairy tales, and folklore. Jesus was in fact one of the most talented "conscious manifesters," someone who works within the Law of Creation (Yes!) and uses it for the betterment of all humanity in the form of abundance and healing. Although well meaning scholars have attempted to down play the miraculous nature of Christ’s Ministry by explaining away his accomplishments as a mundane chain of cause and effect, the miracles are in fact an important cornerstone of Jesus’ teachings, an important part of the faith of Christians and necessary for the understanding of prosperity and abundance.

"I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you." (Matthew 17:20-21) Praying with thanksgiving is accepting that God will bestow upon us all that we need to become our highest, best selves, will light the way of the path S/he wants us to take, and that this transformation will allow us to help others through our example and through our deeds. Picture those things you want to come about and release them with gratitude for their accomplishment even if they don’t appear in your physical environment. Florence Scovel Shinn emphasizes using the phrase "under Grace in a perfect way," when you are releasing your prayer treatments, meaning that your dreams will be accomplished with an eye toward the perfection of God’s plan, which is for the good of all.

TNT: The Power Within You; How to Release the Forces Inside You and Get What You Want, (Prentice-Hall, USA, 1954) by Claude M. Bristol is another mid-twentieth century masterpiece on the power of believing and the art of abundance. Bristol emphasizes the use of affirmation in constant repetition to re-wire the consciousness toward a positive orientation. He also explains and highlights the importance of creative visualization, where one uses the internal vision of his visible accomplishment as a guiding beacon in daily life to reach the land of his/her dreams. This is another simple book which is an important resource for anyone interested in following the path of the Master.
